Look no further for pain management doctor. Dr. Gayle's is the one! Researched and found him on my own. Takes my insurance, got in within a week after getting referral, doctor and entire staff are great, pleasant, answers all questionns, spends direct, individual attention to you, no wait line, thorough and detailed. Cannot say enough. Very pleased. Had my first epidural block today on lower back. He explained every step and advised what he was doing throughout procedure and made a point to make sure I was ok. I worried for nothing. In pain, pick up phone and call him now!!!!read more

Referred to Dr Gayles by a fellow pilot for my yearly first class medical. Was disappointed to learn when trying to schedule an appointment in December that I was required to Prepay for the 1st class medical due to no shows and prepaying was a means to prevent them. If I had found an earlier appointment somewhere else they wouldn’t refund me my money. I understand no shows can be an issue but to have a first impression of distrust of a patient, yea had to pass. Since the only appointments were available mid to late December, the receptionist was only willing to hold the appointment for 24 hours as I looked for another AME that could do it earlier due to my limited pilot schedule. The idea of prepaying is messed up. I honestly don’t have any experience of the direct relationship of the service Dr Gayles provides (he could have been 5 stars for all I know), but a first impression like that does not warrant me to try again even though his office is less than 5 min from my house. I decided to go to my previous AME in Sanford. Even my AME was confused as to why they would require a prepay just for pilot medicals as no one he knew in the area did that. Oh well lesson learned.read more

I have never been happier with any doctor than I am with Dr. Gayles. He is the very first doctor who, though he found nothing substantial on my scans, told me without hesitation, "that doesn't mean you're not in pain." He is always smiling and friendly when he greets me, listens to everything I have to say, and answers all my questions patiently and in a way that I can understand what is going on. His staff is also very friendly and prompt. Today, I was scheduled to have cervical facet joint injections with sedation by him. The surgical center told me I couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight the night before, including even a sip of water this morning to take my morning meds. My appt was at 10am, but they were running a bit behind and I wasn't taken back for my procedure until around 1pm. By the time Dr. Gayles spoke to me before they took me in, I was in so much pain I was crying. He looked upset that the surgical center had told me not to take my morning meds and said in the future that I should. He then told me he would tell the anesthesiologist to give me IV pain meds (fentanyl) with the sedation. I did not have to ask for the pain meds - he offered them. His compassion goes above and beyond that of every other doctor I have ever seen and I have seen A LOT. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gayles. If I could give him 6 stars, I would in a heartbeat.read more
