The term “sciatica” refers to the pain experienced when the sciatic nerve becomes pinched by inflammation or other spinal abnormalities. This could be a symptom of a larger medical condition such as a herniated disc, pinched nerves or spinal stenosis. A bulging or herniated disc is the most common cause of sciatica. Pain usually occurs on only one side of the body and follows the nerve from the lower back to the foot and toes.
A professional diagnosis is the first step to treating Sciatica. In most cases, the doctor will be able to diagnose with a simple physical examination and an evaluation of your medical history. We will need to know when the symptoms began, the severity of pain, and what treatments you have previously tried. An X-ray may be needed to rule out any other serious conditions such as a herniated disc or possible tumor in the lower back.
Once your pain has been properly diagnosed, you and the doctor will then decide on a treatment program to get you living life pain-free.
Dealing with daily joint pain can be frustrating and exhausting. Whether it be varying degrees of arthritis pain, hip, knee or foot pain, joint inflammation is a painful experience for anyone. Joint pain is usually the result of an injury (sports or otherwise) or disease that affects the ligaments, cartilage and bones within the joint. Symptoms include joint swelling, redness, tenderness, stiffness, loss of range of motion and occasionally, the locking of the joint.
When surgery or daily drugs is not an option, Regenerative Medicine, such as PDA-HAF (Amniotic Fluid Therapy), PRP (Platelet-rich Plasma) and A2M (Alpha-2 Macroglobulin) injections are safe alternatives. Using your own body’s healing powers, regenerative medicine encourages cellular and soft tissue regeneration and reconstruction. PDA-HAF (Amniotic Fluid Therapy) for example, is an all-natural, drug-free injection that contains more the 200 growth factors and other naturally occurring nutrients that work together to promote healing of soft tissues, reduce local inflammation, and minimize pain. PDA-HAF injections do not contain stem cells.
